Mission Statement: The Buffalo Irish Dance Parents Organization sustains and builds support for Irish culture in Western New York. We champion a style of dance that is equal parts athleticism and art, creating inclusive opportunities for aspiring dancers of all levels to experience, share, and spread the joy or a time-honored tradition. We proudly collaborate with other area organizations to ensure that Irish culture remains vibrant and accessible through this generation and the next.

Vision Statement: The Buffalo Irish Dance Parents Organization envisions a community rooted in inclusivity and infused with joy, where Irish culture - through Irish dance - is cherished, taught, and shared.

Major programs: Throughout the year we fundraise in order to provide and subsidize the cost of enriching opportunities for Irish dancers in our area, always striving to make programs both exciting and attainable for any dancer wishing to participate, regardless of economic background. We assist in the development of cultural events in the area by contributing to the Buffalo Feis, Buffalo Irish Festival, Celtic Christmas, and Niagara Celtic Heritage Festival; and by promoting the art form of Irish dance via parades, workshops, and performances. Last year we also held a two-day guest artist workshop that was enthusiastically attended.

Audience served: We serve a unique intersectional community: We serve the WNY community at large through outreach and public performances to spread the joy of Irish dance as an art form. We serve the Irish cultural community by participating in and preserving cultural traditions and endeavors. Most directly, we serve local Irish dancers and their families through program development and financial assistance.
